Chief Medical Officer
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provides scientific and clinical guidance to advance research projects. Will lead internal MTEC technology review panels to assess and rank white papers and proposals. Works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Commercialization to review progress of research awards and review compliance with regulatory agencies for research involving humans.
Bradford Walters is a Vice President and the Chief Medical Officer of RTI International, with responsibilities of managing the clinical development of RTI and client medical technologies. He is the Principal Investigator on a USAMRMC award to study the effectiveness of stellate ganglion block for treating post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms. Prior to joining RTI, Dr. Walters was a partner at Academy Funds, a pre-seed and seed stage venture capital firm specializing in the commercialization (via spin-outs) of intellectual property based on university research. Dr. Walters is the Chief Medical Officer for MTEC.
